Camp Powhatan Reunion 2014
This event is a Powhatan Reunion. It is not a Seeds of Peace fund-raiser. However, we owe our thanks to Seeds of Peace for allowing us to take over camp for one day this fun event and for their cooperation and assistance in helping put this reunion together.
Please consider donating to the Joel W. Bloom Campership Fund at Seeds of Peace. The Bloom Campership Fund is used to bring in campers to Seeds of Peace who can not afford to attend camp. Powhatan alumni raised over $100,000 for this fund at the May 2006 gala event in New York City honoring Joel. As of the end of last summer, the fund has been depleted and it would be a great way to honor Joel and his legacy if we can raise some additional money for the fund.
PLACES TO STAY
Powhatan Central will be at the Poland Spring Resort in Poland, Maine.
They have great deals that weekend, with rooms that include daily
breakfast and a daily buffet dinner. Please reserve your own room directly with the resort. Reunion Central will be the Maine Inn at Poland Spring Resort (pictured below). On Friday during the day, we will play golf at the Poland Spring Golf Course, the oldest resort golf course in the nation. For those of you who do not play golf, the resort has a mini golf course and we could do a mini golf tournament as well if there is enough interest. Then on Friday night, will skip the included buffet dinner at the resort and will instead have our Lobster Feast at the resort. Ask for the Holiday Weekend Package which is $359.99 plus tax and includes a room for Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights for a king bed ($388.79 total for all three nights with tax, so $129.60 a night). Some attendees are looking for roommates, so contact us if you would like to share a room and split the cost with someone. Pricing is different if you do not do the three night package.
